Terms of Service
1. Who we are
KiCI (“the service”) is operated by Alberto Marchetti as an individual (“we”, “us”). Contact: support@kici.dev. These terms govern your use of the hosted service at kici.dev and app.kici.dev.
2. Early-preview status — no warranty
KiCI is an early-preview, experimental product. The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. There is no service-level agreement (SLA) and no guarantee of availability, uptime, or fitness for a particular purpose. Do not rely on KiCI as the sole control for safety-critical or production-critical processes during the preview.
3. The service
KiCI lets you author CI/CD workflows in TypeScript. Workflow execution runs on your own infrastructure (your orchestrator and agents). The hosted service is a relay and dashboard: it routes inbound webhooks to your orchestrator and provides a web dashboard for visibility. We do not execute your pipelines and do not hold your workflow source code, build artifacts, job logs, or CI secrets (see the Privacy Policy).
4. Accounts
You must provide accurate registration information and are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. You must be legally able to enter into this agreement.
5. Fees and billing
Paid plans are billed in advance via our payment processor (Stripe), in EUR or USD, monthly or yearly, at the prices shown on the pricing page. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; you can cancel at any time, effective at the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law, fees already paid are non-refundable. We may change prices with reasonable notice; changes apply to the next billing period.
6. Acceptable use
Your use of the service must comply with our Acceptable Use Policy, which is incorporated into these terms.
7. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for your workflow code, the infrastructure you run orchestrators and agents on, the secrets you configure there, and your use of third-party services your pipelines call. You are responsible for complying with the licenses and terms of anything your workflows build or deploy.
8. Intellectual property and open source
KiCI’s open-source components are licensed under Apache-2.0 and AGPL-3.0 as indicated in the source repository. These terms do not grant you rights to our trademarks. You retain all rights to your own content.
9. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, for intent or gross negligence, for liability under mandatory product-liability law, or for any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable mandatory law. If you are a consumer, your mandatory statutory rights (including under the Finnish Consumer Protection Act) are not affected by these Terms.
Subject to the paragraph above, and to the maximum extent permitted by law: we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data; and our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the greater of (a) the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) €100.
10. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, or to protect the service or other users. You may stop using the service at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (e.g. fees owed, liability, governing law) survive.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Finland and the European Union, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes are subject to the competent courts of Finland, subject to any mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
